Hay All,
Thought since it was a bit quiet in here I'd start off a little "Introduction" thread to find out what brings you here?
My name is Stuart and I live up in the Granite City of Aberdeen. I have been obsessed with oldskool dance music since first hearing Steve Silk Hurley's "Jack Your Body" on Top Of The Pops, and have a particular love for breakbeat hardcore and jungle (1993 and early 1994 especially).
I am an avid collector of vinyl but could never mix to save my life. I have loads of hardcore/jungle/drum & bass in the collection and have a big passion for authentic sounding newskool, breakbeat hardcore. Though have had to scale down my vinyl addiction due to becoming a Dad.
I used to frequent oldskool forums thike its-all-about-oldskool and backtotheoldskool back in the day before they fizzled out. I have also dabbled in music production and have had tracks out on Strictly NuSkool, 7th Storey Projects, Switchblade Digital and Jedi Recordings. Have not had the spare time to do much lately, but hope to break this drought at some point. I also used to do music reviews over at the Strictly NuSkool Blog for a few years to.

Hiya. My name is Mark, I go via many names musically, but mainly I am : Sanxion Sparky (half of the modern incarnation of) Liquid S-Scape Sound Selektaz Clerkenwell Sound Collective Bronx Tigers I also work behind the scenes with a bunch of other producers (if you know what I mean) I started off loving the music on my Commodore 64 and when I eventually got an Amiga and a tracker, I never looked back. Growing up in Blackburn, early rave culture was all around from the Acid House days. But my fave era is 92-93 hardcore (as is with most people I guess), but I was fairly extensively involved in -happy- hardcore in the 2000's, and also in the bounce scene in the mid-late 2000's. (don't judge me )

Hey,im Gareth from Damage Inc. Which is a group name we've used since 1990-when me and Pete (Finchman) met at school. We started producing that year in 1990,on Protracker on the Atari ST. I started DJing and getting into Rave music from 1987 as everything seemed to start kicking off! The 1st track I remember getting me into electronic music was 'Don't Go' by Yazoo, my parents were DJ's so I grew up with records and decks, When I saw M.A.R.R.S. & Bomb The Bass on TV that spurred me on to having a go at that!
Love all sorts of music but that Breakbeat Rave music is without doubt my favourite, I find it so creative and a sandbox where anything is game and I don't find that so much in other genres.
I love playing digitally, being an early adopter of Final Scratch/Serato/Traktor But equally I love collecting records and putting on vinyl only nights!
I was introduced to B2VOS by Insane (HOH) and miss the old forum format that Facebook has seemed to wipe out.
We made Rave music as it evolved into DnB,then early 2000s I thought sod this,I love Old Skool,I want to make a new track that sounds Old Skool! It was successful even tho many said wtf are you doing!
And I feel fortunate that I have got to meet and work with many of my musical heroes, been able to travel to many Countries and play this music at lots of venues and it has gone down even if it is niche and not the main genre of the event, met lots of like minded guys from the forums and facebook groups in all kinds of locations!
I'm really passionate about the music and always up to something to try and push the sound A scene needs a community to exist and thrive

Hello everyone! My name is Alex Tudella aka Beats Are Broken. I'm from Brazil and a big fan of electronic music, especially the ones that have broken beats.
Coming from a culturally different country and having difficulty finding new things in the 80's and 90's, I mostly heard what we call here Flash House. House music dominated by Italian producers at that time. In the early 90's, already with internet access, I started to discover Hardcore and I never stopped liking it.
My first purchased vinyl records were Kraftwerk - Electric Cafe and Fax Yourself - Sunshine 89. I always suffered a lot to buy albums, especially on CDs because everything was imported and very expensive. But I managed to buy a lot of CDs over the years... the vast majority of hardcore, Breaks and some EBM.
I started trying to produce songs in 2017 and since then I've managed to release some stuff through Ravenoyz, Raveskool, Switchblade, 4 The Core and the apex of it all was to have a track included in Booyaka's compilation and Glowkid's album "Various - GLOWKiD Pres .The Generation X Crew".
I consider myself a beginning producer, always trying to learn and improve.
The most thing about all this is that besides being able to release some tracks, I made friends with several producers that I'm a fan of.
Big fellas ups! I loved this space!
